Dreams and Aspirations
While doing nothing on my day off, I saw Ryan Tucker tweet the following:
I had heard a lot of blabbering about the Arduino from Ryan and others, and decided to
poke around Google a bit. One of my travels lead me to find
this how to for making a "Physical GMail Notifier". Wondering over to
SparkFun, I
decided to price my very own, over-engineered notifier.
I figured I would splurge (crazy, I know) and get 2 BlinkMs
($12.95 each), plus the cost of the Arduino
($34.95 for the USB) would be about $65 with shipping (I know, I could just
build my own LED crossfading sex, but maybe I'm getting over my NIH?). Kind of
an expensive toy, but it would be cool (plus if I'm only using 2 lines for the
BlinkMs, I've got room for more useless IO 
), espically with my birthday
coming up and such (Mom and Dad: you listening?).
